Grateful Graduate Project: Reason to be Grateful 2 of 365

AALOISEAU

As an avowed, self proclaimed francophile, I have to cite the French language as one of the top reasons to be grateful for about studying and living in Paris. It is a rare opportunity to grasp and deepen one’s French. Even if you arrive with very little or no French – you can at least fake it until you make it (see video below).

I am grateful for the chance to profit from being here to master French. To master both French ‘speech’ – spoken and written – and the French ‘language’, i.e. its more subtle, textured forms. There is nowhere else in the world that could offer a better context.

‘Grateful Graduate Project 365’ is a daily personal pledge to collect reasons to be grateful for the graduate student experience offered by Paris and London over the course of 2013.
